Service Description

This is an online course. All instruction and evaluations are conducted online, course can be taken anywhere where appropriate internet connection is available. Deadline for registration: May 15, 2023. Course begins May 29 through July 2nd 2023. Sample kits with 40 50ml samples for tasting available to ship directly to your home (U.S. and European Union) for: $550. If preferred, a list of acceptable wine samples is also provided for U.S. candidates to purchase at their own discretion. Each enrollment includes delivery of the WSET Manual, Specification Guide, and Learning Aids needed for the course. Digital Delivery available for everyone, Physical delivery by mail available upon request in the U.S. Enrollment also includes registration and access to evaluation upon the competition of the course. In the event of needing reevaluation to satisfy the knowledge verification requirements a re sitting fee of $125 will be requested to cover the exam retake registration and administration. Students will be given a login access to participate in web sessions for the required qualification time of 17 hours, this includes the examination. Students are also expected to complete at least 11 hours of private study time for a total qualification time of 28 hours. The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is intended for people who have little or no prior knowledge. It is suitable wherever a good level of wine knowledge is required to underpin job skills and competencies, for example in the customer service and sales functions of hospitality, retailing and wholesaling industries. It is also useful for those who have a general interest in wine and wish to broaden their knowledge. Successful candidates will be able to describe and compare the styles of wines produced from internationally and regionally important grape varieties, interpret wine labels from the main wine- producing regions of the world and give basic guidance on appropriate selection and service, as well as understand the principles of wine tasting and evaluation.
