This is an online course. All instruction and evaluations are conducted online, course can be taken anywhere where appropriate internet connection is available. Deadline for registration: May 28, 2023. Course begins June 12 through July 9 2023. Sample kits for tasting available to ship directly to your home (U.S. and European Union) for: $165. Each enrollment includes delivery of the following: WSET Manual, Specification Guide, and all Learning Aids needed for the course. Digital Delivery available for everyone, Physical delivery by mail available upon request in the U.S. Enrollment also includes registration and access to evaluation upon the competition of the course. Please note enrollment includes one attempt per candidate. In the event of needing reevaluation to satisfy the knowledge verification requirements, a re sitting fee of $125 will be required to cover the exam retake registration and administration cost. Students will be given a login access to join WSET Global Classroom for the required qualification time of six hours, this includes the examination. IBA is proud to offer a dedicated virtual classroom where all information and materials will also be available, in addition to tools and learning resources exclusively designed by IBA and available to our candidates. The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is intended for people who have little or no prior knowledge of wines. It is designed to provide a sound but simple introduction to wines. The qualification will assist those who need a basic familiarity with the main types and styles of wines, for example people who work with wines as part of a larger beverage portfolio in the retail and hospitality sectors. Learning outcomes: Know the key stages in grape growing and winemaking. Know the types, characteristics and styles of wines made from the principal grape varieties and other examples of wines. Know the key principles and practices involved in the storage and service of wine.
