Deepen Your Understanding of Wine with a Blend of Online and In-Person Learning Join this unique hybrid course designed for wine enthusiasts and professionals seeking to advance their understanding of wine styles, quality, and production. Combining the flexibility of online sessions with the hands-on experience of an in-person tasting day, this course offers the best of both worlds. Course Schedule Online Learning via Zoom: Session 1: Thursday, February 13, 2025, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM (2.5 hours) Session 2: Thursday, February 20, 2025, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM (2.5 hours) Session 3: Thursday, February 27, 2025, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM (3 hours) In-Person Session: Date: Saturday, March 1, 2025 Time: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8 hours) Location: Downtown Orlando For participants who are unable to attend the in-person session in Orlando, an online alternative will be provided for reviewing the material online. Learning Outcomes Understand the environmental influences and grape-growing options in the vineyard and how these impact the style and quality of wine. Understand how winemaking and bottle ageing influence the style and quality of wine. Understand how environmental influences, grape-growing options, winemaking, and bottle ageing influence the style and quality of wines made from the principal grape varieties. Know the style and quality of wines produced from regionally important black and white grape varieties. Understand how the production process can influence the styles of sparkling and fortified wines. Understand the key principles and processes involved in the storage and service of wine, and in the pairing of food and wine. What’s Included? Study pack provided prior to the course. Access to all Zoom sessions and in-person review/tasting day. Wines for guided tastings during the in-person session. One attempt at the certification exam. Ongoing support from WSET-certified educators to ensure your success. Technical Requirements Access to a computer with a camera and microphone. Proficiency in using Zoom for the online sessions.
